Hawks to Play for America East Title Saturday
The University of Hartford women's basketball team will face off against Boston University Saturday for the America East Championship and an automatic spot in the NCAA tournament.
The fourth-seeded Hawks will take on second seed BU on Saturday, March 12, at 7 p.m., at BU's Case Gymnasium, in the title game of the 2011 America East Women's Basketball Championship.
Cheer on the Hawks in Boston!
Come and cheer on the Hartford women! Tickets for the championship game are $25 and can be reserved by calling 860-768-HAWK (4295), emailing tickets@hartford.edu, or stopping by the Malcolm and Brenda Berman Athletics Box Office in the Sports Center. The box office will be open today until 5 p.m. Sales must be cash or check only.
There are still spots available on one of two buses that will take Hawks fans to the game in Boston on Saturday. A limited number of FREE student tickets and bus spots are available for University of Hartford students courtesy of President Walter Harrison. Students who would like to attend Saturday's game should bring their student ID to the box office in the Sports Center by 5 p.m. today to get their free ticket and a spot on the fan bus.
For non-students, the total cost of the bus and game ticket is $35. One bus is already sold out – so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible.
Follow the Game on TV, Radio, or Online
If you can't make it to Boston to see the game in person, you can follow the action on TV, radio, or online. The game will be broadcast live on Comcast Sports New England, which can be found locally on the following channels: Comcast channel 31 or 199; Cox channel 41 or 436; Charter channel 27 or 770; AT&T U-Verse channel 714 or 1714; Direct TV channel 630 or 630-I; and Dish Network channel 419 or 5419.
The game also will be streamed live online on ESPN3, and it will be broadcast live on WWUH radio (91.3 FM or www.wwuh.org).
