Calcaterra Leaves as Baseball Coach

University of Hartford Director of Athletics Patricia Meiser announced on Wednesday that the department will make a change in the leadership of the baseball program.
Head Coach Jeff Calcaterra has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately. Assistant Coach Jerry Shank will assume the interim head coaching position, while Inaki Ormaechea will remain in the role of an assistant coach.
The University will immediately begin a nationwide search for Calcaterra's successor.
