The Greenberg Junior Faculty Research (GJFR) Grants are internal grant awards intended to promote high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activity by faculty members who are just beginning their careers. Award recipients are provided with up to $6,000 to be applied toward course releases during the academic year and up to $2,500 for scholarship-related expenses, for a total award of $8,500.

Individuals eligible for an award must be full-time tenure-track faculty members who will be within their probationary period, but not within their tenure review year, at the time the awarded funds are used. The GJFR grants committee is composed of four faculty members, tenured within the last five years, and is chaired by the assistant provost.

Applications for Greenberg Junior Faculty Research Grants are available at http://ned.hartford.edu/forms and are due in the Office of the Provost (CC 311) no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. If you have questions about the GJFR grants, contact Assistant Provost Katherine Black, at 768.4504 or kablack@hartford.edu.
