Accolades: Bernard den Ouden
Posted 1/4/2006
2005 was a busy year for Professor of Philosophy Bernard den Ouden.
In July, den Ouden presented a paper at the annual meeting of the International Society for Philosophy and Technology, titled “The Return of Wind Power: A Case Study in Philosophy and Technology.” The meeting was held in Delft, Holland. While in The Netherlands, den Ouden met with members of the Human Rights and Indigenous Rights Organization in The Hague.
This past fall, den Ouden published two articles. The first was titled “From Pipestone to Pine Ridge,” and appeared in the Heath Herald. The second was a review of Anne Waters’s edited collection of essays by First Nation authors on Native American philosophy. The review appeared in the bulletin of the American Philosophical Association.
