Partnership Agreement with Hartford Public Schools Generates Major Media Coverage, Anderson in Robot Magazine, and More

The signing of an affiliation agreement between the University of Hartford and the Hartford Public Schools was covered by a number of local and regional media outlets. There were stories on the June 15 evening newscasts of NBC Connecticut and Fox CT, as well as an article on the WFSB-TV web site.The front page of the Hartford Courant’s “CT Now” section on June 16 had a story (click here) and there was a story and photograph on CT Now.com. In addition, there was a story in Spanish on Univision. News about this significant partnership was included in the University Business daily email newsletter, on New England Cable News.com, Hartford Business Journal.com, and West Hartford Patch.com. The partnership agreement was noted in two publications in Indiana — the Greenfield Daily Reporter and the Columbus Republic — as well as WMBC News in New York and MSG.com news summary.

Hartt School alumnus Javier Colon continues to receive rave reviews on the NBC show “The Voice” and to generate stories in the local media, including this article in the June 15 issue of the .

Michael Anderson, associate professor of computer science in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences, and his wife, Susan, a professor emerita of philosophy at the University of Connecticut, were cited for their unique research into robot ethics in this article in Robot Magazine. Also, their new book, Machine Ethics is on the Cambridge University Press Computer Science best seller list.
