University of Hartford women’s golf coach Donna Harris announced the 2011 fall schedule, which consists of five tournaments, including the annual ECAC Championships to be played in late September.

The Hawks will open the fall scheduled with a new tournament, taking part in the Towson University Invitational in Phoenix, Md., at the Hillendale Country Club on September 10–12. Last season, Fairliegh Dickinson took home team honors at the Towson Invitational, which included fellow MAAC school Fairfield in the field of eight teams.

The final four tournaments will all be familiar sites for the Hawks. Next up on the schedule is the annual Dartmouth Women’s Invitational on September 16–18 at the Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H. Last year, the Hawks opened the fall season with the Dartmouth Invitational, finishing 13th out of 20 teams participating. Leading the Hawks in the opener last year was rising junior Sarah Sideranko, who finished fifth out of 115 total golfers.

The Hawks will then compete in the annual ECAC Division I Championships at the Twisted Dunes Golf Course in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., from September 30–October 3.

Fourth on the fall schedule is a return to the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J. The Hawks finished last year’s Rutgers Invitational in 12th among 20 teams.

The final event of the fall season will find the Hawk sat the Sacred Heart Invitational in Milford, Conn., at the Great River Golf Club. The Sacred Heart Invitational also served as the final event of the fall a year ago as the Hawks finished in seventh overall among the 10 teams in attendance.
