Kerry Beckford, an instructor of first-year writing in the Department of Rhetoric, Language, and Culture at the University, had an opinion article in the Hartford Courant on Tuesday, Aug. 23, that was about her reaction to the movie, “The Help.” Click here to read her opinion piece.

Robert H. Davis, professor of theatre in The Hartt School, was a guest on The Colin McEnroe Show on WNPR on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 23. The topic of the show was "The secret lives of understudies." Click here to see and hear Davis on the show.

Before heading back to the University for his senior year, Michael DiMeglio of Princeton, N.J. teamed up with Anthony Aloi on Wednesday, Aug. 17, to win the New Jersey State Golf Association's 79th Four-Ball Championship at the Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly. DiMeglio, who is out of college golf playing eligibility, is going to serve as an assistant coach for the Hartford Hawks men’s golf team.
