Natacha Poggio, assistant professor of visual communication design, Hartford Art School, recently participated in the Winterhouse Symposium on Design Education and Social Change (http://winterhouse.com/symposium_2011/index.html), funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

In the symposium, leading educators from prestigious institutions throughout the United States gathered to discuss the intersection of design and social change, and how this new paradigm could effect solutions to social problems within the teaching and practice of design in undergraduate and graduate education.
