Holder Honored at 10th Anniversary Celebration of HartBeat Ensemble

The Hartt School's John Holder, technical director of the Kent McCray Theater in the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, is being honored at the 10th anniversary celebration of the HartBeat Ensemble, Hartford's community-centric theater.
Holder will be honored for his outstanding service to the theater community on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Mark Twain House and Museum.
Upon hearing that he was being awarded this honor, Holder said, "I don't help our colleagues out expecting a reward. Most of the time, it's interesting and challenging work, and lots of fun as well! Plus, I have the pleasure of getting different types of technicians together who might never have met otherwise."
