Tip-off Breakfast for 'Connecticut 6 Classic'
College basketball fans of the Nutmeg State will again converge at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on Friday, Nov. 11, for the third-annual Connecticut 6 Classic, a men’s basketball tripleheader featuring the University of Hartford men’s basketball team as well as Central Connecticut, Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Yale.
This year, the Connecticut 6 will kick-off the tournament with a Tip-off Breakfast on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
The Tip-off Breakfast, which is open to the public, begins at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion beginning at 8 a.m. The panel will feature all six men’s basketball head coaches from the participating schools, including John Gallagher (Hartford), Howie Dickenman (CCSU), first-year head coach Sydney Johnson (Fairfield), Tom Moore (Quinnipiac), Dave Bike (Sacred Heart) and James Jones (Yale).

The Hawks will play Sacred Heart in the opening game of the Connecticut 6 Classic, marking both teams’ 2011 season debuts. Game time between the Hawks and Pioneers is slated for 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Mohegan Sun Arena.
