Women's Soccer Remains Unbeaten
The University of Hartford women's soccer team continued its undefeated season Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over the Maine Black Bears at Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium. The Hawks' record improves to 12-0-2 on the season and a perfect 5-0 in America East conference play, making this the best season in program history.
Going into Thursday night's game, the Hawks were one of just six unbeaten teams remaining in the nation. Hartford's impressive record has led to a fifth-straight week in the Northeast Region rankings put out by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Hawks moved up one spot this week to fourth in the region, and they are the only undefeated team among the top 10 in the Northeast Region.
In Thursday's game against Maine, junior striker Caitlin Alves led her squad to its third-straight 3-0 victory. Earlier this week Alves was named America East Player of the Week, marking the fifth time this season that a Hartford player has won that honor.

Prior to the game, the Hawks will honor their senior class of Lauren Brodeur, Michele DeSanti, Nicole Weil, Amanda Lo Bello, Mary Beth Hamilton and Jenee King.
