Posted 10/19/2011
During the 69th Annual Conference of the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT) held October 1, 2011, Assistant Professor Lucy Richard, director of clinical education for the Radiologic Technology Program, was awarded the Gail Pitkin Memorial Lecture Award.
Each year this honor is given to an educator who exemplifies the “philosophy, goals, and ideals” of the CSRT and the radiography profession.
Richard co-presented a lecture titled, “Elder Abuse and Maltreatment: A Clinical Overview,” with Assistant Professor Gerard Buffo, MD. This year’s CSRT conference also included the lecture, “The Radiographer’s Role in the Radiation Risk Debate,” presented by Daniel DeMaio, Radiologic Technology Program director.
