Lauren Cook Screens Film at University of Cambridge

Lauren Cook, assistant professor of cinema in the College of Arts and Sciences, screened her film Altitude Zero at a conference called "Mirror/Lens: Women in Film" at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom on Oct 22, 2011.
Her 16mm film explores the representation of women in the 50's and functions as a physically etched, palimpsest of cinematic representation. The film has screened at many other venues including the Cannes Film Festival Emerging Filmmakers Showcase, Brighton Film Festival, Des Moines Art Center, Festival Des Cinemas Differents De Paris, VideoEx Festival Switzerland, and Athens International Film Festival.
