Caryn Christensen, director of the All-University Curriculum, and Pat Morelli, director of the Center for Reading and Writing and a faculty member in Rhetoric and Professional Writing, presented at the 11th annual conference of the Atlantic Center for Learning Communities on Oct. 20.

Their presentation was titled "Fifteen Years and Counting: Evolution and Sustainability of First-Year Interest Groups at the University of Hartford."

The focus of the presentation was two-fold: the history of the FIG program and that of Morelli's FIG, which is currently taught to physical therapy majors. Participating in the conference's student fishbowl panel presentation were two former FIG students, physical therapy majors Jessica Lobisser and Kasey Mayer.
