D'Amore Receives Math Literacy Award from VOCAL

James D'Amore Jr., adjunct professor of math, Hillyer College, recently received an award from VOCAL, Voices of Connecticut Adult Learners.
D'Amore was nominated by the Hartford Public Library, where he provides tutoring in math, and was recognized for his contribution to improving math literacy in Hartford. He received the award at VOCAL's third annual awards ceremony on Nov. 15. These awards recognize individuals who provide signigicant contribution to adult learning. D'Amore also teaches math at the Adult Education Center in Hartford.
