Steve Davis and Former Hartt Student on Grammy-Nominated Album

Hartt faculty member Steve Davis and his former student, James Burton III '02, played in the trombone section and were featured soloists on Christian McBride Big Band's The Good Feeling, which just received a Grammy nomination for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. Both Davis and Burton also played on master bassist Ron Carter's new Great Big Band CD (along with fellow Hartt alumnus Wayne Escoffery '96). Both CDs were reviewed in a recent issue of Downbeat Magazine.
