Goldstein and Class on C-SPAN 3, Reeves and The Hartt School in Hartford Courant, and More

Warren Goldstein, chair of the history department in the College of Arts and Sciences, and students from his freshman seminar class, titled "Beyond the Dreamer: The Life and Work of Martin Luther King Jr.," was broadcast on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, as part of the C-SPAN 3 cable channel's American History TV "Lectures in History" series. Frank Harris III, an opinion columnist for the Hartford Courant, wrote an article for the Thursday, Dec. 8 edition of the Courant about going to the Wadsworth Atheneum for its “hot jazz brunch,” which featured music from the Nat Reeves Trio. Reeves, a world-renowned bass player and assistant professor in the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at The Hartt School, was highlighted for his passionate playing. GolfDigest.com noted in a Monday, Dec. 5, story that Patrick Sheehan, a University alum and college teammate of Jerry Kelly and Tim Petrovic, has earned his PGA Tour card for the 2012 season. Sheehan has played six years on the PGA Tour, the last being in 2009. Click here to read more.
