Clancy in Hartford Courant, Sekou in Greenwich Time, and Stores in Hartford Courant

Michael Clancy, associate professor and chair of the politics and government department in the College of Arts and Sciences, had an article published in the “Opinion” section of the Sunday, Dec. 11, issue of the Hartford Courant. He wrote about the growing trend of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance at sporting events and asks why we do this at athletic contests, but not at concerts, theater productions or other such gatherings. Bilal Sekou, associate professor of political science in Hillyer College, was quoted in an article in the Tuesday, Dec. 13, edition of the Greenwich Time. The article, which can be read by clicking here, looks at the political wrangling that goes on over redrawing state House and Senate districts.

Teresa Stores, associate professor of English in the College of Arts and Sciences, was highlighted in Hartford Courant story on Thursday, Dec. 8, in conjunction with a project she helped launch at the Duncaster Retirement Community in Bloomfield.
