The Hartford Consortium for Higher Education is currently seeking grant proposals from faculty and staff. Projects must involve more than one higher education institution in the Greater Hartford area.

The Consortium is an alliance of area colleges and universities that focuses on higher education collaborations. Grants are generally in the $1,000 to $2,500 range, for projects that will be implemented in the 2006-07 academic year.

The priority will be given to projects that respond to an issue in the Hartford region or help create new academic partnerships. Examples of possible activities include conferences, faculty seminars, course development, and lectures.

Applications are due by Tuesday, Feb 28. The application is user-friendly and quite brief.
