Prosthetics Program on NBC Connecticut, Bonaca in Hartford Courant, Freund on WTIC Radio, and More
The University's new Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics program was featured on NBC Connecticut's "Making the Grade" segment, which aired on the Wednesday, Dec. 21, 6 p.m. newscast and on the Thursday, Dec. 22, morning news show. Interviewed for the story were faculty member Paul Armstrong and University students Steve Charry and Tabor Hammond. Click here to watch the story.
The “Write Stuff” column in the Hartford Courant’s Dec. 22 edition of “Cal” celebrated local authors with recently published books, including University professor emerita of English Jeanne R. Bonaca. The column noted that Bonaca, an author and a photographer had self-published her debut novel, The Lady in Blue: A Maria Chavez Mystery, which is set in the Southwest. To see the column, click here.
Richard Freund, the University’s Greenberg Professor of Jewish History and director of the Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies, was a guest on WTIC Radio’s (1080 AM) “Face Connecticut” show that was broadcast on Sunday morning, Dec. 18. Freund discussed his archaeological work that has shed much light on the early history of Christianity.
Harvey Jassem, professor of media in School of Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in the “Bottom Line” column in the Saturday, Dec. 24, edition of the Hartford Courant.
