Hawks Score Record in the Classroom

The Department of Athletics has announced that its combined 367 student-athletes set a new semester record for cumulative grade point average with a 3.18 mark among all 18 Division I teams. Overall, Hartford student-athletes have compiled a 3.0 or higher GPA in the past 12 semesters.

In addition to a record cumulative GPA, 67 percent of the student-athletes (248 of 367) finished with a 3.0 or higher, with 130 of those student-athletes earning a 3.5 or higher. Seventeen student-athletes posted a 4.0 grade point average in the fall, another record.

The top performing team on the women’s side was golf with a 3.52 grade point average. The baseball team led the nine men’s sports with a 3.30 GPA.
