Rizzotti Reaches 250 Wins
It was a record setting night inside The Chase Family Arena at the Reich Family Pavilion on Feb. 1 as the University of Hartford women’s basketball team scored a 64-46 victory over the University of New Hampshire to score head coach Jennifer Rizzotti’s 250th career victory.
The Hawks were led by junior Alex Hall who chipped in a career-high 22 points, while rookie Amber Bepko tied a school record with eight steals.
In her 12 years at Hartford, Rizzotti has built the women’s basketball program into an America East power and a nationally recognized program, winning four regular season championships over the past six years, five tournament championships in nine years, and making six trips to the NCAA Tournament.
She is the all-time winningest coach for men’s or women’s basketball at the University, and has coached 31 different players to All-Conference distinction.
