Len Milling, associate professor of psychology, A&S, published a peer-reviewed article titled "The Spanos Attitudes Toward Hypnosis Questionnaire: Psychometric Characteristics and Normative Data" in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis.
Attitudes toward hypnosis have long been described as an important determinant of responding to hypnosis and hypnotic suggestions. The study described in this article evaluates the generalizability of the original factor structure of the Spanos Attitudes Toward Hypnosis Questionnaire and provides normative data based on a large sample of 925 participants.
The American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis is the official journal of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. AJCH publishes original scientific articles and clinical case reports on hypnosis.
