Posted 2/8/2012
Mark Blackwell’s chapter on the relationship between eighteenth-century it-narratives and the tradition of metafictional writing, entitled “Extraordinary Narrators: Metafiction and It-Narratives,” has just appeared in The Cambridge History of the English Novel, published by Cambridge University Press.
Blackwell’s review of two recent books on material culture and literature in the eighteenth century, called “The Shape of Things to Come,” also appeared in this winter’s number of Eighteenth-Century Life, published by Duke University Press.
Blackwell is professor of English and associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences.
