Burt Publishes on Visionary 19th Century Ads

Professor Elizabeth Burt of the School of Communication, A&S, has published "From 'True Woman' to 'New Woman': An Analysis of the Lydia Pinkham 'Animated Ads' of 1890" in the winter edition of Journalism History.

The article is a visual analysis of the groundbreaking illustrated advertisements introduced by the patent medicine company.
