Posted 3/3/2006
The America East Men’s Basketball Championship gets under way this weekend at the Binghamton University Events Center in Vestal, N.Y.
The University of Hartford enters the nine-team tournament as the No. 4 seed, and will face No. 5 New Hampshire in a quarterfinal game on Saturday (March 4) at 8:30 p.m.
The winner of that game will play in a semifinal contest on Sunday (March 5) at 2:30 p.m.
The championship game will take place on Saturday, March 11, at noon, on the home court of the highest remaining seed. That game will be televised live on ESPN2.
All of the games in which Hartford plays will be broadcast live on WDRC radio, 1360 AM. You can also follow the action at www.AmericaEast.com, which will feature live statistics from all of the tournament games.
If the Hawks advance to Sunday’s play, you can watch their semifinal game at 2:30 p.m. through live streaming video at www.americaeast.com/local/multimedia.htm. Connecticut residents who subscribe to Cox Cable can also watch the semifinal game, on a tape-delayed basis, at 6 p.m. Sunday on Cox Sports Television (Channel 3).
