Professor Don Ellis of the School of Communication, A&S, is currently on sabbatical in Israel. He was invited to attend a roundtable at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem celebrating the creation of the Institute for Integrative Conflict Tranformation, which has been renamed the Herbert C. Kelman Institute for Interactive Conflict Transformation.

Herbert Kelman is a distinguished Harvard psychologist who has been working with Israelis and Palestinians. About 20 invited guests, including Professor Kelman, discussed the peace process, the two-state solution, the standing of the Israeli democracy, and the nature of communicative contact between conflicting groups.
