Fei Xue Gives Presentation at MAA Northeast Conference
Posted 5/11/2012
Fei Xue, assistant professor of mathematics, A&S, gave a presentation titled “Classroom Voting in Teaching Calculus” at the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Northeast Conference recently.
Professor Xue used the newest generation of "clickers," an instant student response system, in his calculus classes under the support of an Educational Technology Grant from the University of Hartford. In his presentation, he demonstrated how the new features of the clickers that now permit numerical input and short answer input improve the voting system for calculus education.
