Robinson on WNPR Radio, Levesque on NBC Connecticut, Carey in New York Times, and More

Michael Robinson, associate professor of history in Hillyer College was part of a panel discussion that was recorded by WNPR Radio (90.5 FM) and broadcast on Tuesday, May 8, at 9 a.m. The panel discussion, which also featured artists and professors from Trinity College and UConn-Avery Point, was titled “Beyond the Extremes: Contemporary Narratives of Exploration, and took place in Wilde Auditorium on Thursday afternoon, May 3. The collaborative project to put a science experiment on the upcoming private space launch to the International Space Station, that featured students from the Annie Fisher STEM Magnet School and the University High School of Science and Engineering, along with a University of Hartford student and Aime Levesque, assistant professor of biology in the College of Arts and Sciences, was the subject of an NBC Connecticut’s “Making the Grade” feature that aired on its Wednesday (May 2) 6 p.m. newscast and Thursday (May 3) 6 a.m. newscast. Sarah Wilson, a senior majoring in communication in the College of Arts and Sciences, had an opinion article published as a “Fresh Talk” column in the Wednesday, May 2, edition of the Hartford Courant. Her column looked at getting herself started on the right career path after graduation. Click here to read her column.

Ellen Carey, associate professor of photography in the Hartford Art School, was quoted in a Wednesday, May 2, article in the New York Times about her participation in an exhibition that explores the Buffalo art scene in the 1970s, called “Wish You Were Here: The Buffalo Avant-Garde in the 1970s,” at the Albright-Knox museum in Buffalo. Carol Padberg, an assistant professor of painting in the Hartford Art School, was featured in a story in the Thursday, May 3, edition of the Hartford Courant.
