Student-Athletes Honored and Entertained at End-of-Year Banquet

The University of Hartford Department of Athletics honored its student-athletes on Tuesday night (May 8) for success in the classroom, on the field or court, and in the community.

The annual end-of-year banquet began with a surprise, as the members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee joined University of Hartford President Walter Harrison in a Flash Mob.

The main part of the evening was recognition, with more than 120 student-athletes applauded for achieving a grade point average of higher than 3.5 over the Spring 2011 and Fall 2011 semesters.

That was just the beginning of countless honors bestowed on members of the athletics family and University of Hartford community.
