On May 4, ten female undergraduate students successfully completed the leadership training program, “Advance: Professional Skills Workshop for Women.”
This program, developed by Assistant Professors Aimee Miller-Ott of the School of Communication and Jessica Nicklin of the Department of Psychology, provided these undergraduate women with monthly leadership training workshops to develop their skills in interviewing, networking, motivating others, and being professional in the workplace, among others. Sessions involved guest presenters from the community, including local business owners, organizational consultants, and human resources representatives.
The undergraduate women completing the program were: Dorthea Alsberg, Kelsey Barnes, Reyna Boucaud, Isabel Carroll, Evelyn Navarro, Danielle Nielsen, Sarah Morin, Patricia Swanson, Alex Uscilla, and Andrea Wojcik.
This program was funded by a Parents’ Discretionary Fund grant and will be offered next year under the same funding.
