Oakes Presents at AOTA Conference

Claudia Oakes, assistant professor and director of the health science program, ENHP, presented three papers at the 92nd Annual Conference of the American Occupational Therapy Association in Indianapolis, Ind.

Two of the papers related to research, supported by WELFund, regarding West Hartford’s efforts to support aging in place for its older citizens. The third paper reviewed outcomes of home modifications provided by Rebuilding Together Hartford (RTH). Oakes is on the Board of Directors of RTH, a non-profit that provides home repairs and home modifications to low-income home owners in the city of Hartford.
