Hawks Score Big in the Classroom

The University of Hartford Department of Athletics combined 367 student-athletes, representing 18 teams, set a new semester record for cumulative grade point average with a 3.22 (previous record 3.18) during the just completed spring semester. It marks the 13th consecutive semester that Hartford student-athletes have averaged 3.0 or better.

Additionally this spring, 65 percent of the student-athletes (240 of 367) finished with a 3.0 or higher, with 135 of those student-athletes earning a 3.5 or better. A total of 15 Hawks posted a 4.0 grade point average.

The top performing team women's team was golf with a 3.51 grade point average. The outdoor track and field team led the nine men’s programs with a 3.29 GPA.
