Retirement Celebration for Mortensen Library's Marian Smith

Please join us! The University Libraries are hosting a retirement celebration for Marian Smith, the circulation coordinator for Mortensen Library. For 16 years Marian has been a very visible presence behind the Circulation Desk, where she has been helping the patrons, securing the library materials and coordinating the student workforce in the Circulation Unit.

We will particularly miss her eye for those student workers—she gave dozens of students their first real job interview, first real job, and first real job mentoring as they matured in their student years. We will miss her in the library, but wish her well in her retirement!

Help us celebrate Marian’s 16 years of service with the University of Hartford with a reception on Monday, July 30, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Dorothy Goodwin Café in Mortensen Library,
