Bilal Sekou, associate professor of political science in Hillyer College, was a guest on FOX CT’s “Stan Simpson Show” on Saturday, Aug. 18. Sekou and Simpson talked about a wide array of political topics, including the political future of Connecticut House Speaker Chris Donovan (which you can watch by clicking here and here); the U.S. Senate race between Linda McMahon and Rep. WFSB-Channel 3 interviewed players Daphne Elliott and Ruthanne Doherty and Coach Jen Rizzotti for a story that aired on Thursday, Aug. 16 and again on Sunday, Aug. 19. (Click here to see the story.) Dan Yustin, a sophomore member of the Hartford Hawks men’s golf team, who had threatened a wire-to-wire victory after shooting a course-record 65 on Thursday, Aug. 16, finished second overall in the Buffalo District Golf Association Individual Championship, according to a Sunday, Aug. 19, story in the Buffalo News. Yustin “qualified for the U.S. Amateur this summer, and more will be heard from him,” noted the newspaper in its article.
