Please read the arrival webpages that are linked to this article to ensure a smooth and successful Move-in Weekend.

Dear Students,

Over the summer the University began a major construction project that includes the removal of a dam and the building of a new bridge over the Park River. Due to the construction, the campus roadway between The Hartt School and Lincoln Theater is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic and will remain closed until the end of the Fall 2012 semester.

The construction project will affect walking, driving, and parking patterns during Move-in Weekend and throughout the fall semester. During move-in, new parking procedures, check-in location, unloading locations, and specific move-in times for residence halls by floor will be in place. It is important that you adhere to the move-in schedule for your assigned residence hall. Your move-in time has been scheduled to limit traffic congestion as much as possible.

It also is important that you unload and move your vehicle to designated parking areas as directed by Public Safety, and that you exercise patience during the move-in process.

To help you plan your arrival and ease confusion, we have set up arrival webpages for new students and for returning students that include important procedural and parking information. Please be sure to read all of the information on the webpage appropriate for you.

Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated. See you on campus soon.
