More Than 1,000 Take Part in 'Walk for Weaver'
Well over 1,000 fans, friends and family came out in support of University of Hartford graduate and former women's basketball player Amanda Weaver '11 on Saturday, Sept. 8, to help in her battle against colon cancer. Together, the Hawks raised more than $45,000 toward Weaver's medical expenses in the "Walk for Weaver."
See a video of the Walk for Weaver on the HartfordHawks website.
Among those in attendance were members of the Hartford Hawks athletics teams, fraternities and sororities, as well as the Stonehill College Skyhawks women's basketball team, the New Hampshire Wildcats women's basketball team and former players from UMBC.
