Highberg Publishes Article on Representations of Fat Men in Gay Pornography

Nels P. Highberg, associate professor and chair of Rhetoric and Professional Writing and interim chair of Cinema, A&S, recently published an article entitled "More Than a Comic Sidekick: Fat Men in Gay Porn" in Performing Ethos: An International Journal of Ethics in Theatre and Performance (vol. 2, no. 2, pp. 109-220).

In it, he examines how fat gay men living in cultures that vilify them for their weight and their sexual identity often can only turn to pornography to find affirming, construtive images of men like them engaging in a range of intimate acts.
