Women for Change is one of the organizers of a new statewide initiative called CT Girlcott.  Girlcott is a movement of women willing to go makeup-free for the month of March (Women's History Month) 2013.  All the money they would have spent on cosmetics for the month will be given to organizations benefitting women and girls in Hartford and globally.

There will be many events leading up to March, including monthly "make-up sex" discussions.  These discussions allow women to come together to talk about the relationship between makeup, body image, conceptions of beauty, self-esteem, and health implications.  For more information, see the CT Girlcott webpage, and join us on Facebook.

Our first "Make-up Sex" discussion group will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 12 to 1 p.m. in GSU 335.  Everyone is invited to attend.
