University Welcomes New Director of Jewish Student Life
Tanya Tsikanovsky joined the University of Hartford this summer as Director of Jewish Student Life.
Before making her way to the University, Tsikanovsky completed a media fellowship at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), received a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from New York University–Polytechnic in Israel, and graduated from Dominican University of California where she majored in English literature and writing and minored in psychology.
Tsikanovsky, 25, is a native of Los Angeles, Calif. In her description on the University of Hartford Hillel website, Tsikanovsky says that she “is happy to be at Hartford and hopes to help each Jewish student build a personal foundation of acceptance, understanding, and pride for their journey to self-discovery, and that through that journey they come to see that being a Jew is synonymous with being human. She is here to help you find the Jew in you and hopes all of you always live who you are.”
You can reach Tsikanovsky at 860.768.7956 or tsikanovs@hartford.edu.
