Catherine Stevenson, associate professor of English and drama and academic dean of international and honors programs, has published an article in the most recent volume of Modern Drama on "Mothers, Change and Creativity in Tony Kushner's Angels in America, Homebody/Kabul, and Caroline, or Change."
In January, she presented a paper on “Theater and Globalization in Kushner's Homebody/Kabul” at the Hawaii International Conference for Arts and Humanities.
Cherra Wyllie, assistant professor of art history, Hillyer College, presented a paper on Feb. 23 at the College Art Association's (CAA) 94th Annual Conference, held in Boston. Her paper was titled “Toward Breaking the Olmec Code: Establishing Prerequisites for Deciphering Visual Symbolism and Narrative,” and it was presented in the session “ 'Olmec' Art: Can There Be An Art History of a Pre-Literate Society?”
Wyllie co-authored Susa Pottery: A Structural Analysis with Yale Professor of Anthropology Frank Hole, which also was presented at the CAA conference.
