Study in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, This Winter – Info Session Thursday
Spend two weeks this January in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador!
Earn three credits this Winterterm in one of the world’s most beautiful and biologically diverse locations. Students will travel together from New York to the Galapagos Islands and spend two weeks learning about this unique habitat, its history as well as the current threats to this pristine environment. Study the key issue of today's debate on the relation between human beings and nature and the fragility of this ecological balance. Engage in discussions that will make you more environmentally aware and learn about Latin American cultures and habitats.
This program is open to all majors. Earn AUC credit this winter!
Course: Ecology, Community and Culture
Course Numbers: (Choose one course for three credits) AUCC 190: Ecology, Community and Culture or SPA 300: Intro to Hispanic Culture
This program is led by Professor Marco Cupolo and students are invited to attend the information session on Thursday, Sept. 27, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in A420. Learn more about the program, check out the syllabus and itinerary, meet other students going and hear about the courses you can take.
All-inclusive program cost is $3,875. Includes three credits UH tuition, round-trip flight from U.S. to the Galapagos Islands, housing, all meals, in-country transportation, scheduled excursions and entrance fees.
Submit your application to the International Center, GSU 327. All applications and program deposit of $1,000 are due October 15.
