Today's Amanda Weaver Fundraising Event Moves to New Location

The Hartt School fundraising event in support of former women's basketball player Amanda Weaver is taking place today (Friday, Sept. 28) despite the rain. The event has been moved to the covered breezeway alongside Millard Circle.

The event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes a bake sale, raffle prizes, and live music, including solo and ensemble performances by The Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, featuring Steve Davis, as well as University a capella groups, and more. 

Weaver, a 2011 University graduate who was a four-year member of the women's basketball team, is battling colon cancer. Proceeds from today's fundraiser will go toward Weaver's medical expenses.
