Bond Publishes Article on Music's Representation in Early Childhood Education Journals

Vanessa L. Bond, assistant professor of music education in The Hartt School, published an article in September in Update: Applications of Research in Music Education.
In the article, "Music's Representation in Early Childhood Education Journals: A Literature Review," Bond explored how music was discussed in early childhood education research and practitioner journals over a span of five years (2005-2010). Several themes emerged in this work, including extramusical benefits, music strategies, musical parenting, musical practices at home, and the musical lives of children.
Implications of the literature review are shared in the online article.
