Faculty and staff are invited to take part in a training opportunity sponsored by the University's EmPOWER program (Employee Professional Opportunities, Workshops and Educational Resources).

The class, called "Students At Risk," will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 3 p.m., in East Hall room 221.

The class will be led by Suzanne Anderson McNeil, assistant vice president for student health and wellness, and Patricia McKenna-Grant, director of the Connections Health Education and Wellness Center.

In this class, you will learn strategies for working with the at-risk student and find out about resources for referring the student. This is an important session for anyone who deals with students one-on-one. The session will be interactive and group participation will be requested.
