Michael Crosbie, associate professor and chair of the architecture department in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, was highlighted in an article in Metropolis Mag.com, posted on Thursday, Oct. 11, about the best books to encourage children with an interest in architecture. Crosbie, who has written more than 20 books about architecture, has written five books that are specifically geared toward children.
Mitchell D. Weiss, an adjunct faculty member in the Barney School of Business and co-founder of the Center for Personal Financial Responsibility at the University, was interviewed for an article in the Saturday, Oct. 13, issue of the Deseret News about finding ways to avoid financial aid debt. He was also interviewed for a Friday, Oct. 12, article on Yahoo! Finance.com about consumers' being increasingly hit with fees in financial dealings. In addition, Weiss was quoted in a Friday, Oct. 5, story on Fox Business.com about the best techniques for students to land a job in their field of study.
Keyokah Mars-Garrick, a member of the Hartford Hawks women’s basketball team who graduated in 2012, has been named an assistant women’s basketball coach at the Coast Guard Academy, according to a story in The Day newspaper of the New London on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Her appointment was also noted by the Norwich Bulletin.
