Dryden to Give Talk on his Book, Jane Austen for Beginners

Robert Dryden, associate professor of English in Hillyer College, will give a talk on his newly published book, Jane Austen for Beginners, on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 4:30 p.m. in the Regents Commons of the Shaw Center (Hillyer Hall).

The program is free and open to all. Books will be available for purchase, and there will be a book signing after Dryden's talk.

In his talk, Dryden will give an overview of his book, and discuss some of the provocative aspects of Austen's work. He also will talk about the factors that made him an ardent Austen fan.
