University to Re-open Wednesday
The University of Hartford will re-open on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Classes will not be held Wednesday, but all University offices and services will be open for business as usual. Employees should report to work at their normal times on Wednesday.
Classes will resume on Thursday, Nov. 1.
The University did not lose power during Hurricane Sandy, and the campus came through the storm in relatively good shape.
We understand that this has been a very difficult week for many, and we ask all members of the University community to be patient and understanding as we resume a normal schedule.
Some of our students returned home to be with their families in areas that were the most severely affected by the storm. Faculty are asked to be as flexible as possible about assignments, quizzes, and deadlines in the days to come.
Please note that advance registration for the spring 2013 semester, which had been scheduled to start on Monday, Oct. 29, will begin on Thursday, Nov. 1. The opening reception for the Hartford Art School Faculty Exhibition has been rescheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., in the Joseloff Gallery.
