Sandstrom's Barbershop Harmony Chorus in Concert Sunday

It’s again time for the annual show of the Insurance City Chorus, the barbershop harmony group of Harald M. Sandström, associate professor emeritus of politics and government. This chorus has performed on campus several times, and a quartet including Sandström sang the national anthem at a soccer match last year.

Titled “Just in Time,” the show will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m., at Newington High School, 605 Willard Ave, Newington. In addition to the Insurance City Chorus, the show will feature international semi-finalist quartet 'Round Midnight, the New England collegiate champions The Timely Gents, Sweet Adeline quartet Just for Kicks, and the Newington High School Chamber Choir. Popular WDRC radio personality Brad Davis will be the emcee.

Tickets are $20 for the show plus an “Afterglow” buffet at nearby Whinstone Tavern; show only is $15. Tickets will be sold at the door, or they may be obtained by calling Sandström at 860.243.8185.
