'Jazz For Change' Concert Rescheduled for Nov. 28
Please Note: Due to the storm predicted for this evening, the "Jazz for Change" concert planned for tonight has been rescheduled for Nov. 28.
The School of Communication’s Public Relations Cases course group is putting on a jazz performance, Jazz For Change, on Wednesday, Nov. 28, to raise awareness about violence against women. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Konover Great Room.
The band, Covert Jazz, is a Connecticut-based jazz ensemble that also honors the philanthropy. The sophisticated group will be performing a number of tunes, from great classics to today’s hits.
There is a suggested donation of $2, with all proceeds being donated to My Sister’s Place in Hartford. My Sister’s Place is a nonprofit agency exclusively serving the lives of homeless women and their children. My Sisters' Place has been a safe haven for those who are suddenly forced into the streets due to reasons such as domestic violence.
Come out and enjoy great music, fun snacks and all for a great charity. You won’t want to miss Jazz For Change.
